Question I181 CREATION OF RECORD OF LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENCE or FBI Name check

I got married in 05/2004 and applied to change my status from h1 to I-485 in 06/2004. Got receipt and work permit in 10/2004. Interviewed in 11/2004 for green card I-485, on wife's instruction didn't take payrole document, h1 documents, interviewer said please mail us these documents and didn't stamped passport on asking when should we expect said after FBI clearance, and probably that was the reason she didn't stamp, within a week I mailed all required documents with certified receipt.

Since that day (interview:11/2004) it's now 01/2006 no green card or any respond, MY SON IS NOW ABOUT TO BE A YEAR OLD. I phoned INS, visited and online checked result is: I181 I181 CREATION OF RECORD OF LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENCE or FBI Name check.

Read an article about FBI name check process:
http://www.fbi.gov/congress/congress...rity071003.htm

I don't know if I should contact to FBI 'cuz INS says it's not in their hands and case is in pending. I've also requested congressman's letter to know the reason, let see what happens.

I read this http://boards.immigrationportal.com/...1&page=1&pp=15
and now think that may be I should either contact FBI or file a suit to INS.

I contacted three different lawyers all of them say it's better to wait than paying us money to just write them letter that's the only thing in this situation we can do, 'cuz INS is not objecting on anything and is telling you to wait.

Well let see now wut happens, any honest and wise advise will be highly appreciated.
