Default cp experience in Montreal

Hi everybody,
I found those experiences very useful when waiting for my administrative processing, So I decieded to write my experience. I won the dv 2006 and went for cp to Montreal in feb, I was born in europe but my parents are from Iran so I had to explain why I went to high school there, then the consular officer said ok, every thing is fine but we have to do more administrative processing, So I left without visa. today the consulate called me and they said they can issue the visa, so for all those that wait for the administrative processing, it took 8 weeks for me. if you have any question I'll be glad to answer.

Congratualtion Yassi_i,

I am planning to start my CP in Montreal as I was selected for DV2007.
I'd like to ask you about your impression of the consulate stuff. Were they friendly? Were they helpful? Were they very strict?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi yassi_i,
Congratulations for a successful process!

I was notified that I was selected for DV2007. I am planning on a CP in Montreal. I’d like to ask you few questions and I really appreciate you help.

* Were documents in French accepted or did you have to do a translation to English?
* Can you, please, post the list of physician/doctor that the consulate sent you, for the physical exam?
* Does the consulate has a preferred translation agency?
* What was you general impression about the consulate staff and the interview?
* While you were waiting the security check, did they keep your passport?

Congratulation again and thanks for your help.
