This board has been my favorite since May 2004 when I received my NL.and I have learned a lot here and I would like to thank all people participating in this board: I received my NL on early may 2004 sent back my filled forms on 15 may 2004.

I got my second package on Sep 2004 in a USA address and was informed about my inter view that was On early Nov in Abu Dhabi UAE I went for my interview with my family (wife and two kids) did my medical exam in Dubai the procedure took only one day as we had our vaccination record ready in my native country (Iran) and they accepted it so we had only the blood test and physical examination and at 8p.m they gave us the result in two closed envelops.

we went to the embassy 30 minuet’s earlier than our scheduled appointment (8 am) and there were about 25 other applicants for different types of visas we all sat in a hall and there were about 11 windows with speakers around us and by 8:40 we were asked to go to one window for taking the tokens and again we sat and waited a lot till they started calling the numbers on tokens randomly each to one window at a time mine was called around 10:30am and the lady asked for my documents (principle applicant)and after that the rest of my ! family one by one this didn’t took much time as I was prepared and every thing was arranged according to the document check list on my second package in separate files for all of us and the lady compared them to her own check list and again I was asked to sit and wait until they call again and this took another 2 hours and by 12:30 my number was called again and a different lady brought my file and gave me back all the original documents she asked me and my wife to the finger print procedure by placing our index finger of both hands on the screen on the window and told us that our visa is ready within an hour or so but our children’s visa should be collected the next day as they don’t issue visa for the children in the same day (and I don’t know why) and I said that I prefer to take all together on next day and the lady said its o.k.

Next day (I was asked to be there around 1:30pm) I went and after 15 minuet’s the same lady came and called me and gave me our passports with! the visas in it and 4 separate envelops for each one of us along a le tter about how to apply for our SSN.and that was all a very simple procedure with no actual inter view as I used to think and except for the long hours of waiting the rest was fine and very simple.so my advice is to set all the documents as they have asked u in ur 2nd package and stand quite and talk just if u are asked something and don’t try to explain them something they did not asked u because I saw that people doing this makes them angry and some times they will be in trouble because of talking un necessarily .

Hope that this information could help some people on this board and pls feel free to ask what ever u want from my experience that I have forgotten to write. And one more thing is that although we were from a country of concern they issued us the visas on same day and we did not have a name check. All the best to every one. Win@2005
