Default Pre-Migration Trade Skills Assessment and Application Fees

Pre-Migration Trade Skills Assessment and Application Fees

International Assessment Applications

An appropriate TRA Application Form and fee must be completed and submitted to TRA with the required supporting documentation for a trade skills assessment for migration purposes.

The application form, instruction sheet and application guide provides details on how to lodge an application and the evidence required. TRA will only commence processing an application once the appropriate application, documentation and fee is received.

Assessment Fees:
Standard application: AUD $ 300.00
Priority application: AUD $ 500.00
Trade test (if required): AUD $ 270.00

Applications received with less than the full fee amount will not be accepted and returned to the applicant. Application fees are non refundable.

Payment of Assessment Fees:

When you submit an application, you must pay an application fee direct to TRA in Australia. Payment can be made through an overseas bank cheque or international money order.

All such payments must be able to be cleared by an Australian bank (eg. ANZ, CBA, NAB, WBC, HSBC) and made out to; The collector of public monies DEWR. If you are unsure your payment can be cleared by an Australian bank, you may need to provide this information to your bank. Further assistance can be obtained by sending an email to: traenquiries@dewr.gov.au.

Postal Address for lodgement of applications:

Trades Recognition Australia
GPO Box 9879
Canberra ACT 2601
AUSTRALIA

Processing Times:
Assessment of overseas applications is a complex process and your assessment may take some time. The quality of documents provided will have a direct impact.

Applications are normally processed within 4 weeks of receipt or earlier if a priority service has been requested. This processing time is indicative and demand driven. Processing times of individual applications may vary.
